Display & Icon Guide
The K2M LCD communicates the full heating state at a glance. The week icon (MON–SUN) shows the current day, the time display shows the clock in 24-hour format, and the time-slot programming icon identifies which programmed period is active. Room temperature is shown large on the left with the ROOM TEMP label and a house icon; set temperature appears on the right with a SET label and a gear icon. The heating waves icon lights whenever the output is energised, the hand/lock icon confirms child lock status, and the clock and moon icons indicate the timer and sleep/night periods. The five touch keys below the screen are, from left to right: power, mode (M), timer/programming, up-regulation and down-regulation.
Physically the K2M measures 86 × 89 × 40 mm (width × height × depth), matching the standard European 86-box mounting grid, with a flush depth of about 14 mm and a total installed depth of about 26 mm.
Default weekly programme (all periods pre-set to a comfortable 22 °C, fully adjustable on device or in the app):
- Weekday (six periods): 06:00 wake-up / 08:00 leave / 11:30 return / 12:30 leave / 17:00 return / 22:00 sleep — each period with an independent target temperature.

Installation
- Drill and mount — install the expansion screw cartridges on the wall at a spacing of 60 mm (drill Ø 3–3.5 mm).
- Wire the back cover — use a screwdriver to separate the upper and lower covers, thread the wires through the back cover into the terminal block according to the wiring diagram, leaving about 20 cm of wire for connection.
- Fix the bottom shell — secure the bottom shell to the wall with the screws, complete L / N / load / sensor connections neatly, then place the wires back into the cavity.
- Snap the cover — align the front cover and buckle it into place at a 30° angle, then power on and pair with the Tuya app.
For any heating load, the K2M should be wired by a qualified electrician, and the connected load must not exceed the rated output of the chosen version. The 16 A model switches electric heating directly; the 3 A dry-contact model must never switch a heating element directly — it controls an external boiler or actuator circuit. 1. What is the difference between the K2M 16 A, 25 A and 3 A versions?
The 16 A version switches electric heating loads (film, cables, mats up to ≈3,500 W at 220 V) directly. The 25 A version is a higher-current option for larger electric heating projects, available on request. The 3 A version is a dry-contact relay with NO/NC terminals — it does not switch heating elements directly; it controls a gas boiler or hydronic thermal actuator circuit. Choose the rating according to your actual load.
2. Does the K2M work with Apple HomeKit or Google Home?
The K2M works with the Tuya smart home ecosystem, which supports Tuya-compatible voice assistants and multi-brand smart home hubs. For a specific assistant ecosystem, tell us the target platform when ordering and we will confirm compatibility before shipping.
3. What happens to my schedule during a power cut?
All settings and weekly programmes are stored permanently in non-volatile memory. When power returns, the K2M resumes the last programme and set temperature automatically — no re-pairing or re-programming is needed.
4. How do I set up the weekly heating programme?
Use the timer key on the device or the scheduling screen in the Tuya app to set each period’s start time and target temperature. The weekday programme offers six periods and the rest-day programme two periods, each with an independent temperature. A quick-start guide ships with every unit.
5. Do I need a floor sensor with the K2M?
An external NTC floor temperature-limiting probe is optional but strongly recommended for wood, laminate and LVT floor finishes, where floor surface temperature must be capped to protect the flooring. For tile and stone finishes, the internal air sensor alone is sufficient. The sensor source (internal or external) is selectable in the device menu.
6. How accurate is the temperature measurement?
The K2M measures with ±1 °C accuracy. Where the wall position makes the reading run slightly warm or cool, the display can be recalibrated against a reference thermometer in the device menu or app.
7. Can I lock the thermostat so children cannot change it?
Yes. Activate the child lock from the app or the device menu; the hand/lock icon appears on screen and touch keys no longer change settings. Deactivate it the same way when needed.
8. What is the warranty and after-sales support?

No — each K2M unit is one wiring variant. The 16 A / 25 A version switches the electric heating element directly; the 3 A dry-contact version only gives a volt-free NO/NC signal to a boiler or actuator. Run one K2M per zone and choose the variant that matches what that zone needs to switch; both versions share the same glass faceplate and app experience.
10. How does the external NTC floor sensor protect wood and laminate floors?
The NTC floor-limiting probe is run beneath the film or cable and feeds the K2M a continuous floor-temperature reading. If the surface approaches the upper floor limit set in the menu, the K2M cuts out the output even if the room air still feels cool. This is the standard protection for wood, laminate and LVT finishes, and is selectable as the active sensor source in the device menu.
