Overview
The HY312 WiFi Touch Screen Thermostat is a wall-mounted room controller for electric underfloor heating: a glass-front touch panel that reads the room and a 3 m floor sensor, then cycles your heating mat or film to hold the temperature you set. Wide 90–240 V supply, 16 A direct load and built-in WiFi make it a drop-in smart upgrade for homes, hotels and offices that want app control without rewiring. Wiring & Installation
The HY312 mounts on a standard 60 mm recessed back box and wires like any room thermostat: supply L/N terminals feed the unit, and the load terminals switch the live to your heating circuit. For an electric underfloor mat up to 16 A the thermostat switches the load directly; for larger rooms above the 16 A rating, drive a contactor from the load output. Run the 3 m floor sensor in its conduit beneath the floor finish, between two cable runs, and confirm which sensing mode (air, floor, or floor-limited air) you want in the menu. WiFi pairing follows the standard app wizard on 2.4 GHz networks. Always commission the circuit with RCD protection per local wiring rules.

Multiple thermostats group into one home dashboard, so a whole-floor hotel or apartment build can be managed from a single screen. Frost-protection mode keeps the minimum temperature through winter holidays, and child lock prevents guests or children from altering the schedule.

The enclosure is flame-retardant PC+ABS, every unit passes factory testing, and the range carries CE and RoHS certification under ISO 9001-managed production. Floor-sensor mode caps the floor temperature to protect laminate, wood and carpet finishes; the relay output isolates the mains load, and installation should be RCD-protected. FAQ
Does the HY312 switch a 16 A underfloor mat directly?
Yes — its rated load is 16 A resistive for electric heating, so typical 8–12 m² mat circuits switch directly. Larger rooms above 16 A should use a contactor driven by the thermostat’s load output.
Can it work on 110–120 V and 220–240 V markets?
Yes. The wide 90–240 V~ 50/60 Hz supply means one model fits North American 120 V circuits and European/Asian 230 V circuits — simplify stock to a single SKU.
Do I need the external floor sensor under laminate or wood?
Yes, strongly recommended. The 3 m NTC floor sensor lets the thermostat run floor-limited mode, capping the floor temperature at the finish manufacturer’s limit and protecting wood and laminate from overheating.
Does it control a gas boiler or wet underfloor manifold?
This model is a 16 A electric-heating controller. For boilers and wet systems choose our 3 A relay models, such as the programmable touch thermostat with water-heating contact output, or ask us for the correct variant for your project.
Is WiFi control secure and does it work remotely?
The thermostat pairs on 2.4 GHz WiFi through the standard app wizard, and once bound it can be controlled from anywhere — scheduling, away mode and freeze protection. A local lockout (child lock) keeps public rooms on the programmed schedule.
