Heated Sleeping Bag

Model: NYRN13/A CE & RoHS Factory since 2008 OEM / ODM Welcome

5V/36V graphene heated sleeping bag with 3-second heat-up, honeycomb uniform warmth and USB power — factory OEM from SunAura.

Overview

The SunAura heated sleeping bag (model NYRN13/A) is a low-voltage, envelope-style camping and outdoor sleeping bag with a built-in graphene heating layer sewn into the core. It is engineered for campers, hikers, glamping operators, emergency-services users and OEM outdoor brands that need a sleeping bag that reaches a comfortable, even temperature within three seconds of being switched on — without mains power, without a heavy heater, and without the electromagnetic-field concerns that come with a 220 V electric blanket.

Rated at 5 V (USB) or 36 V on request, the bag uses a honeycomb-arranged graphene heating element that warms the torso and core rather than concentrating heat under the feet. The outer shell and inner lining are a durable down-cotton blend, the heat zone measures approximately (180 × 30 cm) × 75 cm, and three heat levels let the user step from low overnight background warmth to a high pre-sleep warm-up. SunAura Thermal has manufactured graphene heating elements and finished heated textiles in Qingdao since 2008, and this heated sleeping bag is one of our most-requested OEM products for outdoor and wellness brands worldwide.

How Graphene Heating Works in a Sleeping Bag

Conventional heated sleeping bags on the market use resistance wire sewn into tubes. That approach produces a small number of hot filaments, leaves cold strips between them, and concentrates heat in one or two spots. Our graphene heating layer is different: a carbon-graphene composite is printed or woven onto a flexible fabric substrate, so the entire heat zone radiates far-infrared energy across a broad, even surface. The output spectrum sits in the 5–14 µm far-infrared band, which is the same band the human body naturally emits and absorbs.

Two properties matter for a sleeping bag. First, the element heats up in about three seconds, so the user does not climb into a cold shell waiting for warmth to build. Second, the electrical-to-thermal conversion efficiency is above 99%, which means almost all of the USB or 36 V input goes into heat rather than into warm wires or electromagnetic losses. Because the element runs at low voltage (5 V from a power bank, or 36 V for the higher-output build), there is no harmful high-voltage radiation field around the body — a point we test and document rather than assume.

The honeycomb layout distributes the element cells across the core heat zone. Cells closer to the torso carry slightly higher density, and cells toward the edges step down, so heat stays where the body loses the most warmth rather than pooling under the feet. This is the same graphene heating technology we build into our graphene heating film for buildings and appliances, miniaturised and laminated into a textile.

Available Models, Sizes & Power Options

The standard heated sleeping bag ships as the NYRN13/A envelope model in blue or army green, sized for a single adult with the heat zone described above. The 5 V USB version is the default export build because it runs from any power bank, car USB port, laptop USB output or camping solar panel — which is what most retail and outdoor customers want. For buyers who need higher heat output, longer runtime on a small battery, or a built-in rechargeable pack, we offer the 36 V variant, which draws more power from a dedicated DC supply and is typically specified for commercial glamping, lodge rooms, and winter camping OEM programmes.

Because we manufacture the heating element and sew the finished bag in the same Qingdao facility, customisation is straightforward. We can adjust shell fabric (from the standard down-cotton blend to ripstop nylon, polyester fleece or cotton-linen blends), change colour, print a brand logo, add or remove heat zones, tune the heat-zone density for a climate target, and bundle the bag with a selected power bank or a 12 V car adapter. Talk to our engineering team about your target overnight temperature and battery capacity, and we will spec the element density to match. Sample lead time is typically one week; mass-production lead time depends on order volume and customisation.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Three-second heat-up — the graphene layer reaches working temperature almost immediately, so the bag is warm the moment the user climbs in, not 20 minutes later.
  • Uniform honeycomb heat zone — heat is distributed across the torso and core rather than concentrated in one or two wire channels, eliminating cold strips and hot spots.
  • Low-voltage, no harmful radiation — 5 V USB or 36 V operation means no high-voltage electromagnetic field around the body; safe for overnight use and suitable for health-conscious buyers.
  • Runs off any USB power bank — the 5 V model works with standard 5 V/2 A power banks, car USB ports, solar panels and laptop ports, so users are not tied to a mains outlet.
  • Three heat levels — high for a warm-up before sleep, medium for evening reading, low for overnight background warmth that gently extends the effective comfort rating of the bag.
  • Envelope cut — the wider shoulder and torso area leaves room for side sleepers and allows the bag to be half-unzipped as a quilt on milder nights.
  • Down-cotton shell — a breathable, durable outer with a soft inner lining; compressible for pack carry and comfortable against skin.
  • OEM-ready construction — custom colours, fabrics, heat zones, branding and bundled power options available for outdoor, wellness and emergency-services brands.

Materials, Construction & Build Quality

Every SunAura heated sleeping bag starts with a flexible graphene–carbon heating fabric laminated between insulating layers. The element is not a loose wire: it is a printed or woven composite on a fabric substrate, which means it flexes with the bag, survives repeated folding and rolling, and does not fail at the stitch points the way resistance-wire bags do. The element is then sandwiched between a soft inner lining and a down-cotton shell, with the heat zone positioned across the torso and upper legs where overnight heat loss is highest.

The outer shell uses a down-cotton blend chosen for compressibility, breathability and abrasion resistance on packed camping trips. Power leads are routed through reinforced channels and terminate in a standard USB plug with an inline three-level controller; the controller is potted against moisture and tested for button life before shipment. Each finished bag is electrically tested for insulation resistance, leakage current and heat distribution before it leaves the line — a sample of those test records ships with every export order alongside the CE and RoHS documentation.

Because the element is low-voltage and fully encapsulated between fabric layers, the bag is built to be packed, rolled and carried like a normal sleeping bag. We do not claim a 30-year element life on a sewn textile the way we do on fixed building film; instead we qualify the construction by repeated folding, temperature cycling and controller-test records, and we stand behind the build with the warranty terms we quote in writing on every OEM contract.

Typical Applications & Use Cases

  • Camping and hiking — overnight warmth in 3-season and cold-weather conditions, powered by a 20,000–30,000 mAh power bank carried in the pack.
  • Glamping and lodge rooms — a premium upsell for glamping operators who want guests to step into a pre-warmed bag without installing mains heating.
  • Emergency and relief use — low-voltage heated bags deployed in cold-response, disaster-relief and mountain-rescue programmes where mains power is unavailable.
  • Mobile and van life — overnight warmth in a vehicle that already has a USB supply, without running the engine or a heater all night.
  • Outdoor work and fishing — rest breaks and lunch stops on winter shifts, ice fishing, and observation blinds.
  • Health and wellness retail — low-voltage far-infrared warmth marketed to older users, people who feel the cold, and buyers looking for safer alternatives to 220 V electric blankets for overnight use.
  • Private-label outdoor brands — OEM programmes where we sew the element into your existing bag shell and ship under your brand.

Why Choose SunAura as Your Heated Sleeping Bag Manufacturer

SunAura Thermal has been building graphene heating elements and finished heated textiles in Qingdao since 2008. We are not a trading company sourcing bags from a third factory: we print or weave the graphene element on our own lines, laminate it, sew the finished bag, and run the electrical tests in-house. That vertical integration is what lets us offer genuine factory pricing on OEM orders, tune heat-zone density to your spec, and ship sample bags in about a week rather than eight weeks.

We work with outdoor brands, wellness retailers, glamping operators, emergency-services suppliers and private-label buyers in more than 50 countries. Standard export terms are EXW or FOB Qingdao, with sea, air and express courier options depending on urgency. Custom OEM programmes include shell fabric selection, colour, logo embroidery or print, heat-zone layout tuning, controller branding, bundled power banks, and retail packaging. All products are manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 quality management and carry CE and RoHS (EU) 2015/863 compliance; test reports and certificates are listed on our certifications page and available on request.

For buyers comparing heated sleeping bag suppliers, the questions that matter most are: where is the element made, is the bag electrically tested before shipment, can the heat-zone density be tuned for your climate, and what MOQ do you require? Ask us those directly and we will answer in writing.

Safety, Low-Voltage Design & Compliance

The safety case for a 5 V USB heated sleeping bag is straightforward: low voltage means no dangerous shock risk even if the bag is used damp, and there is no high-voltage electromagnetic field around the body during overnight sleep. The 36 V variant is also classed as a low-voltage circuit well below the touch-voltage limit that would present a shock hazard. The inline controller includes over-temperature protection and cuts power if the element temperature exceeds the design limit; the element itself is PTC-tuned so that covered or folded sections self-limit rather than overheating.

We do not recommend using the bag while sleeping on the highest heat level overnight. The standard operating pattern is high for a 15–30 minute pre-sleep warm-up, then medium or low for the night. The bag is designed for adult users; children under three and users with impaired temperature sensation should not operate it unsupervised. Full electrical-safety test records, insulation-resistance data and RoHS reports are supplied with every OEM shipment; our certifications page lists the independent SGS, ZCT and CNAS reports we hold across the product range.

Frequently Asked Questions

What power bank do I need for a 5V heated sleeping bag overnight?

A typical 20,000–30,000 mAh USB power bank runs the bag on the low heat level for a full overnight cycle and on medium for most of a night; high heat is intended for the 15–30 minute pre-sleep warm-up rather than all night. Exact runtime depends on ambient temperature, bag insulation and the heat level selected. Tell us your target overnight conditions and we will recommend the power-bank capacity to bundle with the bag.

Can I buy a heated sleeping bag sample before placing an OEM order?

Yes. Sample bags ship in about one week from Qingdao, typically by express courier, so you can evaluate heat output, shell fabric and controller feel before committing to a production run. Sample terms and freight are quoted case by case; request a sample quote with your target shell colour and whether you want the 5 V or 36 V build.

What is the MOQ for a private-label heated sleeping bag order?

MOQ depends on the customisation level. A standard-colour, no-logo order has a lower entry volume; custom shell fabric, colours, logo embroidery or a tuned heat-zone density move the MOQ up because of setup on the sewing and lamination lines. We quote MOQ and factory price in writing against your spec sheet; contact us with your target retail price point and we will work backwards from there.

Is the heated sleeping bag safe to use all night?

Yes, when used on the low or medium heat level. The element is low-voltage (5 V or 36 V), PTC self-limiting and the controller cuts power on over-temperature. We recommend high heat only for the pre-sleep warm-up, then step down to low for overnight background warmth. The bag is not intended for infants under three or for users with impaired temperature sensation.

Does the sleeping bag have EMF or radiation concerns?

No. Because the element runs at 5 V or 36 V, there is no high-voltage electromagnetic field around the body during sleep, which is the main concern with 220 V electric blankets. The far-infrared radiation the element emits (5–14 µm) is the same band the human body naturally emits and absorbs, and is the reason this bag is marketed to health-conscious and older users. Independent test reports are available on request.

Can the heating element be washed or removed?

The standard construction has the heating layer sealed between shell and lining; we do not recommend machine-washing the assembled bag. The controller and USB lead detach before any surface cleaning. For washable OEM programmes we can build the element on a removable liner using our low-voltage heating fabric technology — tell us your wash-cycle target and we will spec a construction that meets it.

What colours and sizes do you export?

The standard export bag ships in blue or army green with the heat zone sized approximately (180 × 30 cm) × 75 cm. Custom colours, shell fabrics (ripstop nylon, fleece, cotton-linen) and adjusted heat-zone dimensions are available on OEM orders. State your market and your colour standard (Pantone reference) when requesting a quotation so we match the right build.

How do you ship wholesale orders and what documents are included?

Orders ship EXW or FOB Qingdao by sea, air or express courier in export cartons. Every shipment carries the CE, RoHS (EU) 2015/863 and ISO 9001:2015 documentation, plus electrical test records for the batch. For urgent sample orders, check current production slots on WhatsApp before you commit.
