Overview
The Floor Heating System Thermostat (Model 1031) is the household room controller that every electric underfloor system needs: it samples the room and the actual floor, then switches your heating mat or film on and off to hold a steady temperature. Simple to install, simple to use, and rated for both 16 A electric loads and 3 A water-heating signals, it is the standard choice for home renovation and new-build underfloor circuits. It is part of our thermostats & controls range.
Install it alongside a heating mat, graphene heating film or heating cable circuit. If you want weekly scheduling on the panel, choose the programmable touch thermostat; if you want app control, see the Y603H WiFi thermostat.

Key Features
- True floor-temperature control — the 3 m NTC sensor reads the slab, not just the air, so wood, laminate and carpet finishes are protected.
- 16 A electric load — switches underfloor mats, film and cables directly in typical home rooms.
- 3 A water-heating contact — also interfaces boilers and wet underfloor manifolds.
- 90–260 V wide supply — one model works on 110–120 V and 220–240 V household circuits.
- Energy saving by design — holds a narrow comfort band to avoid overshoot waste.
- Flame-retardant PC + ABS shell — flush wall box mount, modern neutral finish.
- Reliable household duty — 2-year warranty with online support and free spare parts.

Wiring & Installation
Fit the unit to a standard 60 mm recessed back box. Mains L/N terminals feed power; the load terminals switch the heating circuit. For electric floors up to 16 A, wire the mat/film circuit directly to the load output; for a boiler or wet manifold, use the 3 A contact output. Tuck the 3 m NTC floor sensor into its conduit beneath the floor finish, between two heating-element runs, and select air or floor sensing in the setup. Leave the sensor accessible near the thermostat for future service, and keep the whole circuit RCD-protected per local wiring rules.
Smart WiFi, Touchscreen and RF Wireless: Three Ways to Control the Floor
The floor heating thermostat range gives buyers a choice of control styles rather than one fixed panel. For the connected home, the smart WiFi thermostat for underfloor heating schedules each room, supports floor-probe accuracy and pairs with the household app ecosystem. For rooms where a screen is preferred, the touchscreen thermostat puts the 7-day schedule and temperature readout on a bright panel. And for buildings where WiFi coverage is unreliable — thick concrete walls, large villas, retrofit flats — the RF wireless thermostat carries the signal by radio frequency instead, which is explained in the RF wireless thermostat technology guide. All three accept the same floor probe for floor-sensor mode, so the controller choice does not change the wiring plan.
Compatible Heating Systems
- Electric heating mats — the standard tile-floor partner for this controller.
- Graphene heating film — film rooms in renovations and wood floors.
- Heating cables — looped circuits in bathrooms and wet rooms.
- Underfloor heating mat — whole-room residential builds.
- Underfloor heating systems category — design your room zoning.
It suits homes mixing electric floor zones with one boiler-driven radiator circuit, thanks to the 3 A contact output.
How It Works
The controller continuously compares the measured temperature — from the room sensor, the floor sensor, or both in floor-limited mode — against the set value. When the room drops below the setpoint, the relay closes and the heating element energises; as the floor approaches target, the relay opens. Hysteresis is narrow so the room stays within about ±1 °C without rapid on-off cycling, and the floor sensor enforces a safe maximum so sensitive finishes never exceed their temperature limit.
Safety & Certifications
Built in flame-retardant PC+ABS, tested 100 % at the factory, and certified CE and RoHS under ISO 9001-managed production. The floor-sensor limit protects laminate and wood; the isolated contact separates low-voltage boiler wiring from mains; installation on RCD-protected circuits completes the safety requirements for household use.
Factory & Quality
SunAura Thermal has made heating controls and elements in Qingdao since 2008, supplying installers, distributors and brands in more than 50 countries. This household controller is SMT-assembled and burn-in tested on our own lines, backed by a 2-year warranty including online technical support, free spare parts and return/replacement. Project capability covers graphic design and 3D model design for tenders. The full family sits in the thermostats & controls category.
Packaging & Shipping
Each unit ships boxed with the 3 m floor sensor, screws and multilingual quick guide. Cartons are pallet-optimised for sea freight; express courier handles urgent renovation call-outs. CE/RoHS certificates and test records travel with the shipment, and private-labelling or multilingual manuals are available for brand programmes.
OEM / ODM
Silkscreen logo on the fascia, custom retail packaging, multilingual manuals and ODM variant design are all available in-house. Mat-and-controller kits, labelled room by room, are a regular export format for installer brands; sample units can be evaluated before a bulk order, and MOQ is flexible for new distributors.
Wholesale Pricing & How to Buy
Factory-direct pricing scales with quantity for installers, distributors and project buyers; samples are offered before bulk orders. Tell us the heating type (mat / film / boiler), voltage and how many rooms; we will confirm the load configuration and return a same-day quotation. Contact our sales team for factory price, wholesale terms and free-sample arrangements.
FAQ
Do I really need the external floor sensor?
Under tile and stone, air sensing works, but the floor sensor is strongly recommended under laminate, wood and carpet — it enforces the safe floor-temperature limit and prevents finish damage.
Can it switch an electric mat and a boiler from one panel?
Yes: 16 A direct for the electric floor circuit, 3 A contact output for the boiler. This makes it handy for homes that have electric underfloor in one area and a boiler radiator circuit elsewhere.
Is this a smart / WiFi thermostat?
This household controller is a wired panel with on-device control. Choose our WiFi models (HY312 touch WiFi or Y603H WiFi thermostat) when you need smartphone scheduling and remote control.
Which voltages does it cover?
The 90–260 V~ 50/60 Hz supply runs on 110–120 V and 220–240 V household circuits — one SKU per project regardless of market voltage.
How accurate is the temperature control?
The controller holds the room within a narrow band of about ±1 °C through relay hysteresis, and the floor sensor caps floor temperature independently — comfortable without wasting energy on overshoot.
